No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. The No Kid Hungry campaign shines a national spotlight on the crisis of child hunger in America, creating a powerful movement of individuals committed to bold action. No Kid Hungry provides a school breakfast program, summer meals, afterschool meals, and food skills education workshops, as well as conducting research, advocacy, and policy work. From the halls of Congress to your local school, No Kid Hungry is working to ensure kids get three healthy meals a day. Despite these efforts, the pandemic and resulting economic crisis have led to a dramatic surge in need. In the early months of the pandemic, the number of hungry children has grown from 1 in 7 to 1 in 4. So far, No Kid Hungry has sent more than $65 million in grant funding to 1,783 schools and organizations across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia and Guam to help children and their families get more of the food they need.
